Griffin Golf "one Shot aT A TIME

Griffin Golf was founded by JBGmg Founder "JB" Griffin who has been a  recreational golfer for over 59 Years. "JB' was taught the game of Golf at an early age by his Dad who was a avid  weekend golfer  and  successful business owner. "JB' took his 1st golf lesson from a PGA  Teaching Pro John Leonard at the Arroyo Seco Golf Course, At the  age of 11 "JB" won his 1st competitive golf tournament winning the South Pasadena Junior 11-12 year old age group Tournament in a sudden death playoff. "JB' carded a birdie on the 1st playoff hole  to record his victory.  

"JB' has been passionate about golf for most of his adult life as time permitted to get on the links.  "JB" took several years off playing once a week while his 3 children were growing up. "JB" passed his passion for game on to his son Brian who held several positions in the golf business before joining Calvary Chapel based in Costa Mesa, CA .  "JB" father Al Griffin Jr. was  a member of South Hills CC in West Covina where "JB" and his Dad  played for several years before his Dad passed away in 1996.

I walk up to the hole and picture in my mind where my golf ball will go. 

Planning each shot in my mind, On the pin, center, short, long, left, right, keeping my next shot in mind, 

I place my ball on the tee, line up my fairway approach, 

position my stance in the bunker, set my pitch approach, line up my putt, all with no doubts- only what my mind can see of the correct shot, positive it will be. 

I drive, swing, punch, pitch, blast, chip or putt  through the golf ball where it may lie, having previously created the correct mental picture of the  shot in my mind where my   golf ball will go.  I confidently watch the ball follow the path that the correct shot was previously programmed to go. One shot at a time as the golf gods know… This golf ball is under my control

Over the years "JB" has been hosting  tournaments for the  Bobby Griffin Memorial Art Award at South Pasadena High School in memory of his late  older brother Bob 1953-1973 (RIP)  who was a talented Artist who lost his life at 19 years old in a tragic small  plane crash which also claimed the life of the pilot Mike Hillbloom who was also 19  during his Freshman Year at University of California Santa Barbara. 

"JB" loves to plan golf outings and meets up with friends for Social Golf Events annually in Scottsdale  and other destinations.   

"JB" offers golf tips and lessons and is available to help new and beginning golfers understand the game from tee to green and can refer individuals to several professional golf club fitters and club builders who specialize in custom built golf clubs which are suited to fit each individual  golfer. Every golfer is unique and the most important thing  for ever golfer is to know the rules, etiquette , have fun on the course and the 19th hole.
