FCA / Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golfathon
In addition to our ongoing efforts to help raise funds annually through donations for the Bobby Griffin Art Scholarship Fund at South Pasadena High School. JBGmg is also helping raise funds for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Ministry in the Inland Valley. Years ago 39- 41 to be exact 1985-1987 I was a Volunteer and President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Pasadena Adult Chapter. We sponsored the FCA Rose Bowl Breakfast which featured Former Pro and College Athletes and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Rose Queen and Court. We held the annual event at the Pasadena Nazarene Church not far from the end of the Rose Parade route on Sierra Madre Blvd.
Our past Keytone Speakers at the event during my time were UCLA Basketball Player Ralph Drollinger, LA Dodgers Pitcher Orel Hershiser, UCLA All American Football Player Donn Moomaw, and USC Football Players Rodney Peete and Erik Afholter. The event also featured local High School Athletes from the San Gabriel Valley who were awarded Scholarships to attend the FCA Summer Camps.

A treat
Checked off another Bucket List course. Played Coeur d'Alene on August 26th, 2024 on a beautiful day. Made a Birdie on the Floating green hole which played at 157 yds. And yes they give you a certificate of Achievement for those who manage a birdie or par on the famous 14th Hole.
