Why you should Buy Real Estate

Buying a Home is the Biggest Purchase and potentially profitable investment  for most people in their lifetime. 

Milt suggests you find a Home you can afford in an area you want to live in . As Milt's Grandma a Property Manager taught him owning property is a right we all have in the USA. If you are able to own and rent properties out you will have Income coming in every month.  Milt has managed properties and has seen 1st hand that Ownership is a great way to roll in money.  Andrew Carnegie Industralist quoted that 90% of all Millionaires became Millionaires through Real Estate. 

Find something you love to do work hard and set a goal to buy Real Estate from your hard earned income.  

Milt bought his 1st home in 1979 from commissions he earned as a Printing Salesman in Los Angeles. The Price of the New 3 Bedroom 2 bath Townhome in a new development in Duarte, CA was $66,000  and required a 10% Down Payment of $6,000 with a Monthly Payment of $425.  More to follow..... 


Fast Forward 2025

If you buy A home which might be a great long term Investment your next question might be shall I purchase a 2nd Home Vacation Getaway.  50 years ago I would have said yes,  but today just owning one home especially if you live in California may be all you can afford.  I have researched buying a second home and my conclusion is one is enough at my age which is 69.

I have owned second Homes with my wife  and today,  I'm pleased to announce the only second home we own now is our RV on wheels second home.  If you want to become a landlord and have the ability for a second mortage, Insurance ,Taxes and Maintenance fees remenber it ain't easy and can be expensive.  Today's 2nd Home,  Vacation home owners are typically those that have inherited a second home from their parents or they are Multimillionaires that can afford owning multiple Homes at places where we common folk dream of living but can only vacation there for at most one to two weeks a year. Milt's advise on second homes? Why not consider two additional Options   1)  How about renting or owning a RV ( an somewhat affordable second home on wheels  or 2) Invested in a timeshare where  you  own a vacation at a destination that your family may enjoy like a home for one to several weeks out of the year.

Oh yes time share is not a investment where you can expect a profit from your ownership,  but it is an investment in quality vacation time at amazing resorts that you can share with your family and friends as long as you maintain your ownership.

Avoid Paying Space Rent

Milt is not a fan of manufactured Housing on land you do not own but have to pay a monthly space rent on 

Milt suggests consider buying  land which you own and than purchase a manufactured home to place on that land you own.  It may be expensive to bring in electrical, Plumbing and Sewer to land you own which is a factor to consider if yoiu choose to do this.

  • Store both your will and living trust in a Secure File and let your beneficiaries know  where to locate your  both your Living Will and Living Trust
